One day trip to Athirappilly from Kochi
The best one day trip from kochi is to visit Athirappilly waterfalls and i am damn sure you will enjoy the trip. Here are some of the details of the places and route maps to go.
Places you can visit:
- Ezhattumugham Prakriti Gramam
- Athirappilly waterfalls
- Charpa Waterfalls
- Vazhachal waterfalls.
Timings: Start early from Kochi around 6 AM to avoid crowd. You can reach in approx. 2 hrs.
Route Map: The best way is to go from kochi is to take the route which cuts after Angamaly. By going in this route, you can enjoy the beautiful view of chalakudy river by your left side.
Nearest place: Chalakudy and kochi.
Ezhattumugham Prakriti Gramam
If you take the route which cuts after Angamaly, you will reach on the back side of the Hanging bridge. Once you take the entry pass, the suspension hanging bridge (built across the chalakudy river) welcomes you and enjoy the beautiful view of chalakudy river from the bridge. I suggest you to go during rainy days as there will be more water. Further walk ahead to find the butterfly garden (a small park)

Athirappilly
Athirappilly is the largest waterfall in Kerala, which stands tall at 80 feet and a best scenic beauty. It is located in chalakudy taluk of Thrissur district in kerala and nicked named as Niagara of India. There will be two views of Athirappilly waterfalls. One from the top and another from the down side of the falls. Don't miss to see the view from down side of the falls. It's an awesome view and the scene with touch your soul. Don't miss.
